Whitehaven Beach

It has been hot and humid every day.  I feel uncomfortable.

I remember Whitehaven Beach in Australia.
Last year I visited Hamilton Island and went this beach.

White sand it’s like a powder, clear water it’s like a crystal. I enjoyed walking beach. I sank my feet in the wet sand in the clearest blue water.  It was amazing. I forgot time and was floating in nature beauty.

I wish I would be there right now.

Awaji Yumebutai

Have you ever been to Awaji Yumebutai? Awaji Flow Exposition was hold here in 2000.
Before, this aria was hill, but it's soil was removed to build Kansai International Airport.
The nature was destroyed.
After that a big project was started. They planted trees and flowers and build the big park.
From observation deck you can see Akashi Kaikyo. Its view is splendid.
Of course, we can enjoy various flowers each season.
I visited here last month; I was surprised that marvelous view.

Syakuyaku(peony)

One of my favorite flowers is SYAKUYAKUpeony.

That buds are small globes like Ping-Pong ball.

In May, they bloom beautifully.  The flowers are large and round.

I was pleased to gorgeous flowers every year.

In Japan we traditionally say “She sits and stands a poeny and walks a lily”.

It expresses beautiful women’s appearance.

From now we can enjoy lilies.

Folk musical instruments

The other day I found the picture of  the SITAR in  my English class.

I’m interested in folk musical instruments.

The sitar is especially one of my favorite instruments. I love the beautiful sound,  its reverberation  brings a trailing vibrato note Veeeee~~~~~~nn .

It has 18~20 strings. Seven strings which run over the curved frets are played strings, and the remainder which run underneath frets are sympathetic strings.

I’d like to listen to the live performance of the sitar and enjoy a  heartfelt sound.

Field of Dreams

Matsui and Nagashima were presented National Honor Awards.  The ceremony was held at Tokyo Dome on May 5.
I wasn't  a fan of Yomiuri Giants, so I didn't  know much about them.
After Matsui  became a member of the New York Yankees,  I was interest in him.
I imagined his sincere attitude to baseball  attracts many people in New York and Japan.
I like his modest and warm personality with his  good sense as  a baseball player.

Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji to become World Heritage site

I’m happy to hear that as  I love FUJISAN.

Its splendid view gives me courage and generosity.

I’ve climbed Mt. Fuji.  We had to walk a rocky (reddish brown) trail, which had no flowers.  I became exhausted when I reached the top, but the next morning I was really impressed seeing the sunrise from the top of the mountain.
Now, I prefer looking at Mt. Fuji than climbing it.

HANAMIZUKI

Here and there thesedays, we can see “hanamizuki” (flowering dogwood) .

I like these lovely white and pink flowers.

The Japanese pop song “HANAMIZUKI” (words by HITOTOYO), is my one  favorite song to sing.  This is not only lovely ,but also plaintive.

This song reminds me of the movie “TITANIC’.

After the ship sank, Jack and Rose were drifting with a block of wood.  He says to her, “You won’t give up no matter what happens”, and he sinks in the cold water.

How do you like this flower.
